Shark week!

It’s that time of year again–SHARK WEEK!!

So far, I have to say I’m a little disappointed. In years past, shark week was about education and conservation. It seams that the majority of the shows this year are basically about people that have been attacked. I’m not sure how that helps people understand the importance of sharks and protecting them.

Oh well, anything for ratings I guess.

My story for Shark Week.

In honor of Shark Week, I thought I would share my close encounter with a shark a few years ago. I hope you enjoy. I promise every word is true.

I love wading. Especially in the summertime when the water is warm and the sun is setting. It is kind of like a Zen thing for me. I sometimes have to remind myself that I am not always the top of the food chain when I am standing in the water. In fact, I’m not even in the top ten. Case in point was the afternoon a few years ago, when I had a close encounter with Mr. Tooth. Before I give the details, let me just say “I was wrong”. I knew I had stayed way too late and had gotten myself into a bad place, but the fish were biting.
