Pulled Pork Day 2

After last night preparations, I put the pork butts in the oven this morning on my way to work. I set the temp at 250 degrees and let it cook all afternoon. My wife turned it midday.

When I got home the meat was cooked and tender and ready to eat. The whole family had been smelling it all day. They were waiting on me to get home, anxiously.

I did it up with a little cole slaw and and some homemade sauce.

Needless to say–I’m stuffed and very happy.

Not fish, but…..

Since I went back to work after vacation last week, I haven’t been near the water. I almost loaded the boat a couple of times, but heavy thunderstorms changed my mind.

That being said, I decided to make a little pulled pork for tomorrow’s dinner. I am a pulled pork fiend. In a perfect world, it would be on the smoker all day tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have to work, so it gets slow cooked.

I’ll make some slaw tomorrow and maybe some mac and cheese.

It’s going to be a long day at work.
